Pastor Mary Lou Aune
Pastor Aune is a native of Bismarck, North Dakota and a 2003 graduate of Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. After her undergraduate studies at University of Mary (Bismarck, ND) she spent her young adulthood working in the business sector and serving as a deeply involved volunteer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck, ND.
After several years of work and volunteer ministry, God called Aune to full-time professional ministry in the areas of education and youth. She served for nearly four years at First Lutheran Church in Mandan, North Dakota. Then, she was called to serve at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska. After over ten years in Omaha, God once again called Aune, this time to ordained ministry. Aune received her theological training at Wartburg Seminary, and was delighted to be assigned to western North Dakota and even more delighted to be called as associate pastor of Zion Lutheran. Pastor Mary Lou moved on to a new call in Beulah in the fall of 2008.
